COCKTAIL EVENING - WHERE THE PEAKS MEET THE PARTY!

All tickets were sold prior to the event, and what a fantastic celebration it was!

Over 30 of the 120 guests were past or present members of the Club committees and/or Lodge Coop directors and officers.

There was a huge pool of lucky door prizes and all winners were pleased with their prize, thanks to Alpsport, Juniors and Club for the prize donations.

Thanks to our organising team and the Paradox Sydney for a great night.

Kahane Lodge Rehabilitation Project - update

Thank you to members who have already contributed to Kahane site rehabilitation.

In March the team of 20 volunteers turned out to weed the garden bed & the area around each of last year’s heath seedlings and to plant this year’s seedlings.

Amy Slocombe from NPWS organised the seedlings, compost, mulch, and plant guards, we provided Seasol, water crystals, and rock minerals to give the plants best chance to establish.

There were 35 new seedlings planted in the garden area in front of the bedroom wing, 60 heath seedlings planted in the western side of our plot and 20 snow gum saplings planted among the existing snow gum stands. The grass areas were mown and hand weeded to reduce the invasive weeds.

After the weekend this year Perisher received good rainfall and that appears at this stage to have significantly improved the survival rates. Thanks to Daniel Plumb for keeping our rainfall records!
